News

Another difficult week for my dad. He was moved to rehab and that isn’t going well. I am worried about him and it has definitely affected my week for the worse. He is talking now and seems to be there now. But he’s been through a lot and improvement isn’t happening fast enough for the insurance company. He’s 92 and needs time to recover but they want to see things happen now. They found a blood clot in his right arm. He’s not able to use that arm due to pain. I’m really hoping the insurance company will take that into account and let him stay in rehab longer.

Monday, I go back to work. A week of teacher meetings before school starting August 12th. The change in my schedule will also be hard on dad.

What I read this week

Not a lot of reading this week. Still reading A Bodyguard Affair. Not that the book isn’t good, my life is just not lending itself to reading.

    Sending love to your dad.

Those insurance companies sound awful. We are so lucky with the NHS here.

I hope that school goes well. We have just started our holidays (well this is the second week – I think – time just vanishes!) my son will go back the first week of September.

Enjoy your books as and when you get to read them.

I’m sorry to hear that your dad still isn’t doing well. It is so hard when our parents have health issues. I hope you enjoy your new books when you get time to read them.

Oof, it’s awful that the insurance company want things to hurry. Sometimes they just take time. I hope he recovers fast and well — for his sake, and yours!

Hope you enjoy your new books, when you get a chance to read them.

Insurance is so frustrating when they don’t take things into account like the patient’s age, etc. I hope that things can start to turn around for him this week. I understand the not being able to read when your brain is dealing with things like this. You did get some good books this week! Ugh, your school starts back on the 12th? We at least get until the 20th before students come back for us. Even if I’m already back since last Tuesday. Sending positive vibes and prayers for your family!

The insurance is so awful! I remember the hospital telling me my mom HAD to do her PT after her hip surgery, even though she was 90 and sick as a dog because otherwise insurance wouldn’t pay for the PT. All the best to your dad!
