News

My Dad is still in the hospital. His surgery led to anesthesia delirium, which I didn’t even know as a thing. Basically, he is struggling to come out of the anesthesia. Sleeping a lot, not really there when he is awake. He has made some very slow progress to coming it out of it. Could still be two weeks or so before he is back to himself. My guess is that he will be sent to a re-hab facility soon. It has taken up most of my time this week.

What I read this week

I didn’t get a lot of reading done this week. I am about half way through this review read.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he gets better soon! At least to the point of being comfortable and coherent.

Nice new reads! I don’t think I realized Jessie Mihalik’s new book was a fantasy read! I read one of her sci-fi trilogies and loved it! Still have another one to read but this is on my list too! I was also eyeing Heartsong lately as I love a good gargoyle story! Usually they’re a sidekick so I need them more as main characters! lol. Hope you enjoy your new reads!

My StS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

So sorry for what you’re worrying about with your dad. It’s so hard, I know. I’ll keep him in my prayers that things get back to where they need to be quickly. I also got An Academic Affair this week. Don’t know if or when I’ll get to it though. Hope this is a better week for you!

Ohh, anaesthesia delirium can be so horrible for everyone involved. I hope he recovers and feels better soon.

I hope you enjoy the new books — looks like a fun little haul.

    The new books look good.

I didn’t know that was a thing, either. Really hoping he recovers soon, and can work on rehabbing. Will be saying a prayer for him and your family <3

My only experiences with anesthesia were first, when my daughter broke her arm, so they had to put her under to reset it. She woke up saying there were alligators under her bed, her feet felt like floppy dead fish, and that Harry Styles was feeding her pizza on a roller coaster. Apparently when I came out of it after my gall bladder surgery, the first thing I said was that I love Taylor Swift and Louis Tomlinson; one of the nurses put on a Taylor playlist and I came back to reality singing, which I can assure you no one in the room appreciated.

You have made me smile. Thank you. I can hope my dad comes back to us singing! 😉
