News

This week my dad ended up in the emergency room again. He’s been in the hospital most of the week. So lots of trips back and forth. He had surgery Friday. Hopefully that will help him. None of it is good news, just hoping for him to be more comfortable. He is 92 years old.

What I read this week

Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz – I read this one for review. You can expect that next week. Cozy is how this book gets described and I’ll agree with that.

Atonement Sky by Nalini Singh – I reread this book that came out this last week. I attended an author interview online and I read it back in January. I wanted the book clear in my head when I listened to the author speak about it. The review of this one was on the blog this last week. Love this book, this series and this author so much! This is also a comfort series for me. When I just need to be in a world where I would want to live, this is the series I reread. Lots of that this week.

I’m so sorry about your Dad. My 89 year old Dad has been in the ER three times in the past month – the last one was overnight. He is fighting multiple cancers so we’ve been saying a slow but stressful good bye but appreciative of every day we have. Take care. I feel your pain.

Hope your dad does as well as possible! It’s such an anxious and sad time.

I’m a little curious about Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore, but I don’t think it’ll be for me.

I’m so sorry to hear your dad was back in the hospital. I’ve had a similar thing going on with my grandpa, though he finally got to come home Friday. He has some wounds on his legs from an old injury and it’s just never going to heal. So lots of changing bandages and such. Hope you are able to steal some time to read and relax and take care of yourself.

I hope your dad will be feeling better soon. My mom is 98 this week and luckily no major issues. I loved Atonement Sky and the whole series.
