News

How do summer weeks get away from me? Yard work and doggie walks were the highlights of the week. Didn’t read too much this week either.

The anniversary of my mother’s death was 7-4 so there was those emotions. She was older and had too many health issues but it still shocked me. It’s been three years now. It’s hard having her gone. Summer is the worst because of Mother’s day and then her birthday is in June. I miss her.

What I read this week

I didn’t read anything new this week. I reread a couple of old favorites. When there is too much on my mine, I can’t focus on a new story. But I need the comfort of reading. So I reread. This week I read a couple from Dark series by Christine Feehan. I like the newer ones in this series. From about Dark Crime to the end. The best ones start at Dark Illusion. Do you ever have times when reading anything new is just too much too much?

Aww! Cute doggies! Love that they can walk together like that! We had two big dogs but never took them walking together, not sure it would’ve gone as smoothly as this! Lol.

I didn’t add much to my TBR this week either shockingly! Lol. Which was kind of nice since it’s getting a wee bit out of control! Lol.

My StS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

Self care is so important. I also find it hard to concentrate on books at times and take a break when I need to. I’m thinking of you during these difficult times.

My mom has been gone for the last fourteen years, and I still miss her every day.

    Love seeing the doggie walk!

I like how nicely they walk together! And I love both of their tails are white. So cute! Those anniversaries are so hard. It was the first anniversary in May of my stepfather’s death, and even having been a year, it is hard. I’m trying to be there for my mom as much as possible, I know she’s missing him a lot. Hope you have a good week as well! Thanks for visiting me earlier.

The weeks seem to be going quicker. I didn’t add anything to the stack this week either. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The days really do seem to go by very quickly. Tomorrow will be 10 years since my father has been gone and it’s still hard. Many hugs to you.

I need to read every day; like you, it is comforting to me. If I don’t read I feel all out of sorts and weird.
