I picked up the first book in two different series where I wanted to read book 2. Gotta read book 1 FIRST, right? Then there was the 16th book in a series. Yeah, I had to get the one before it.

I always seemed to pick up the second book or third book in a series by mistake, and, I would inevitably have a hard time finding the first one. So I usually just went ahead and read the second one.

OOh nice ones! I loved Shelby Mahurin’s Scarlet Veil duology! Binged that one just earlier this year as as well! The other two are new to me ones but I feel like the Jayne Castle one might be somewhat familiar. If it’s at 16 books already that would be why! Lol. I hope you enjoy all of your new reads!

It’s hard when you go to read a book and realize you haven’t read the others in the series yet. I hope you enjoy all of these!
Obviously you need book one! Even in series that aren’t linearly connected I always want to start at the start point, it’s very valid. Enjoy the new books!
Your books look good. I love series books, but I’m always wanting to start at the beginning. Sometimes I’ll pick up a book in the middle, but I’ll usually wait to read the first one. Hope you have a great week.
I will occasionally read a book series out of order but I don’t like doing it!
